Youth Outreach Peace Poster Contest

"The Power of Peace" is the theme of the 2009-10 Peace Poster Contest. Lions clubs can sponsor the program in their community for children in local schools or organized, sponsored youth groups. Students, ages 11, 12 or 13 on November 15, are eligible to participate. Through the contest, students are encouraged to visually depict their interpretation of the contest's theme. For Further Details Regarding the Contest - Click HERE The grand prize winner will be selected from 24 international finalists, and will receive a cash award of $2500, plus an all-expenses-paid trip for the winner and two family members to New York City for the awards ceremony next Spring at Lions Day at the United Nations headquarters. As Merit Award winners, the remaining 23 finalists will each receive certificates and a cash award of $500, with all of the finalists' posters being displayed on the Lions International web site-- www.lionsclubs.org. |
